.meditations in an emergency

.was catching up with the second season of mad men (awesome awesome awesome show).the book "meditations in an emergency" by frank o'hara's was mentioned in the first episode.don draper recited a poem called "mayakovsky" from the book at the end.i was never a poetry person but i had to take a good look at it.

Mayakovsky

Now I am quietly waiting for
the catastrophe of my personality
to seem beautiful again,
and interesting, and modern.

The country is grey and
brown and white in trees,
snows and skies of laughter
always diminishing, less funnynot just darker, not just grey.

It may be the coldest day of
the year, what does he think of
that? I mean, what do I? And if I do,
perhaps I am myself again.

.i couldn't myself but started to do more research on the book
.written by one of the most famous poets-frank o'hara in the 60s. "meditations in an emergency" is a collection of poems that talks about nature. motions pictures.human behaviors.the arts.parties and other cultures.
.i have already made my trip to the bookstore and started getting inspiring by the great piece
